OpmerkingenI often watch meteor showers and try to learn to capture them in photographs but this one moved very differently. They are usually long graceful arching movements but this was moving almost straight down and was eye level...it was a cloudy night but this was extremely bright and was the only light in the sky. My daughter and I both saw it as soon as it entered our field of vision and were shocked and a little taken back by the size and how close it seemed. I think the angle it was traveling is what made it so different from meteors I’ve seen in the past. If you were looking at a clock, it was traveling extremely fast from 12 to 6 in the Eastern sky.

OpmerkingenIt was a really bright blue ball with a tail then it would flicker/dim and we thought we would lose sight of it but then it would get bright again and then flicker and dim again and then it got big bright blue and then got smaller the closer to Earth it got and then it just turned like a reddish orange and looked like it burned out.
